Have you thought about where your old computer went?
There are a bunch of used computers for sale arund Thailand now that are so cheap it seems hardly worth selling them. Two friends bought computers with 40g HD 256 RAM CD-r-w drive 17in, monitor and windows XP as well as a lot of other programs installed. They paid less than one hundred US for each. Even delivered and set up. They must get them for nearly nothing.
Old electronic gear including computers are shiped to developing and third world nations just to get rid of the junk. Much of it is still usable and people do go through it and make usable computers and other items. Most all programs here are pirated and cost almost nothing to nstall. They do work and are bought by many.

just really what are you asking? as far as my old comps i totally destroy them. there is nothing left that would be useful. i really
don’t understand the question?
I am moving to the US!! >>What bargains. I know where my old computer went … hand-delvered to the rubbish dump, after I snipped all the internal wires and demolished the hard drive (just in case) In the latest computer magazine artice I read, I says that "E-junk" (old computers, printers, etc.) is becoming a big problem. It would be great if they could be 100% recycled.
