My laptop is a mid to upper level HP Pavilion. Its only a couple of years old at the most.

Can I plug the laptop into it so that I can play music through it?

How would this be done?

I was thinking about getting an Ipod to connect to it (if that would work) to use for music at parties, but then I realized it would be much cheaper just to use my laptop.
